This is our 4th cruise on The Explorer of the Seas... we love this ship. We're 3 best friends and we stay in a grand suite - very convenient. The Cruise itself is great. We're always worried about the Entertainment. Our first cruise we had Gordon and Phil and LOVED them! the second and third cruise we had "your cruise director Mike" who sucked! this time we were leary as to who we would get and we lucked out big time! we got Chris Northey! what a super guy and his activities manager Jamie, was something special. you could tell they hadn't worked together before, and yet they were quite a team, with like personalities. The rest of the activities staff were nice and supportive of them. The only one we had an issue with was a very sweet girl, don't know her name but spoke with a very thick Spanish accent and she was reading trivia and she could not pronounce any of the words in the questions. they should have had someone else reading these questions. it was only one time so it wasn't a big deal. The other categories - food-personnel-staff are all positives. We tried "my time dining" and it was ok - although the service was a little slower than in the regular dining room - would could have asked them to speed it up, but didn't want to impose on our other dining partners. The one down side was while parked in the parking for the week, our car was sprayed with some kind of paint - perhaps the wind blew some paint from something being sprayed, but it's costing over $500 for repairs... not great!RCI needs to do a little more with the parking situation. get a covered garage, or something.
