Arriving on board at approximately 3 pm we found our cabin . The first complaint at reception was at about 3.15 when we found our cabin toilet would not flush but when other cabins flushed ours filled with their effluent ! 2 hours later I went back to reception to ask when the toilet would be fixed . About 1 hour later it flushed by itself but when my wife used the toilet it would not flush . On the fifth occasion , Sunday morning 10.00 am , at reception they said a plumber would look at it ! The toilet was eventually replaced in the afternoon ! Dinner on the Saturday evening was served cold ( meant to be hot meals ) and was inedible . Fortunately we were able to go to the cafeteria and get pizza and chips from the self service ( with about 30% of the diners due to the miniscule portions being served ) which was far better than in the dining room . This practice of going to the cafeteria was the norm as it was the only place where vegetables were obtainable , no meals in the dining room had potatos served with them ! When food was returned uneaten ( being cold , too tough to cut , salads in bowls of water and being under cooked ) we were never asked why the food was uneaten , the waiters just removed the plates and brought the next course ! Only once were we asked at the end of our meal would we like coffee , which was cold when it was brought , and the waiters started to get the table ready for the next sitting while we drank it . Any drinks purchased on the ship carried an automatic 15% service charge and if you bought water ashore it was confiscated on your return to the ship !After the explosions in the engine room and the haphazard way in which our return to Southampton was carried out I would be surprised if any of the passengers on that cruise will ever return to MSC !!I know it is the worst cruise ship and cruise line I have ever seen or trvalled with . Just in finishing food was unavailable after 8.30 pm until 7.00am , but if you did not eat at the gala nights no food was available after 5.00pm and you did not get a meal !!!!!
