9 people celebrating parents 52nd anniv. My DW and I could take or leave cruising but wanted to be with the family. we are in our mid 40's. our group was 22 to 76 years young.First night(Friday) stayed at the Marriott Renaissance. $15 cab ride from airport to hotel .. nice hotel. took cab to Baha cabana. Drank 3 rum runners( they will kick you --151 rum) and split a dolphin sand(awesome). Go to this place.. a dive behind the days inn.Saturday- slept in till 10:30.. shopped across street at wal-grens.(sunscreen) Then $14 cab ride to pier. Left hotel at 11:15.. at Park cafe eating a sandwich and made to order salad by 11:35.Then we zip-lined(need shoes).. jumped on the flow rider...then drank beer from back bar by the flow rider(tip: bring cash for bartenders--it will pay off)Day 2 nassau- been their a bunch. Headed to Senior Frogs. Danced, had fun and wore ballon animals on our head. (Tip- liquor/cigar store next to sr frogs has good cubans and pints of rum with plastic tops-- perfect for going through medal detectors on the way back)St thomas did the champange sail.. not great but we made the most of it. St mateen - got cab to orient beach. pick any place(malibu's for us) 2 chairs and 2 drinks for around $15. buckets of beer ran 11 to 15 bucks (not a kid place/saw some boobies)Summary- Shows good(comedy very funny), ship real big(but like the freedom better), Food in MDH not very good with bad service, Thursday night was lobster (good), wed night was bad(go to spec. rest), bought the gold wine package(good value), Stayed away from the buffett. Liked all the little places ..solarium rocked for breakfast (and as a night club late at night).. J rockets good for breakfast, enjoyed making my own pizza at sorrentos. Rising tide bar was awesome for pre-dinner cocktail, seafood shack for lunch $2.50 bowl of clam cowder in a bread bowl(real good).. no beer bucket deals. again cash for bartenders(not waiters)Track(jogging) is great 2.4 laps = one mile.. decent weights. wife enjoyed the boot camp classes.Had a 8:45am flight- walked off the ship at 6:15-- at airport gate at 6:45Enjoy your cruise -- hope this helps...cheers!!
