We have been on 8 other cruises before, one with Carnival (which we did not like at all) and eight with Royal Caribbean. This was our first time on a Disney cruise and though we live in Orlando and have been to the parks many, many times, we did not know exactly what to expect. But wow, the ship is gorgeous, very elegant with nice Disney touches. I absolutely loved the entertainment, the decor and the food. Actually I thought the food was much better than Royal Caribbean which is our typical cruise of choice. The shows were amazing, but I guess you could not expect less from the #1 entertainment power house that Disney is. I especially loved "Believe". The cabin was spacious (for a cruise) and my 5 year old son loved sleeping in the bunk bed. Our bed was very comfortable too. The aquaride was fun, much better than I anticipated and the lines were pretty short actually. The water in the pools and the aquaduck was cold though. I was very impressed how easy Disney makes everything for their guests, especially the way they organized the pictures for you. Instead of having to go through hundreds and hundreds of pictures in multiple walls like RCL, they organize them for you by cabins in books and/or touch screens. For a picture fanatic like me, that was very impressive!! All of the restaurants were great but our group's favorite was Animator Palate. That restaurant is just neat, and so cool. The only thing I found lacking was the wait staff at the restaurants. Our waiter Hebbert was rushing all of the time. For example, if he asked me what my choice for dinner was and I did not tell him in that second, he would immediately jump to the next person. And when he served the food to us, it was just a "here and I gotta go" type of feel. This is the one point where I think our waiters in RCL were much better. I am not sure if it had to do with the fact that I think he had 4 tables to wait on, but it was not good.We visited the Oceaneer Club and my son loved it, such a cool place. it was very reassuring the fact that they give the kids a GPS system, that was a nice touch. I also popped in the nursery to see how it was and to my surprise Cinderella was visiting the babies. What a neat touch!!On our excursion to Castaway Cay we spent a few hours in the family beach and my husband and son rode the slide. After that we dropped off our son at the Kids Club for a few hours while we rented some bikes to tour the island. That was the best part that day, it was so much fun!!! We headed towards Serenity Bay and oooooooh wow.... what a place, this was pure paradise. I have traveled many places in the world but have NEVER seen a beach like this. WOW. Crystal clear for at least 100 yards, unbelievable.Overall we had an amazing time. It is possible that we could do it again in the future. We really, really enjoyed it.

Cabin Review

Standard Inside Stateroom

We had an inside cabin with the interactive window. The cabin was spacious for a cruise ship and the beds very comfortable.
