we landed at Barcelona airport the night before our cruise and stayed in the HOSTAL BCN PORT. a very good choice, we had a room with 4 single beds for the three of us, so plenty of space, (room twice the size of our cabin!!) very clean and seemed fairly new. large shower, air con, ceiling fan. for the English amongst us, no tea-making but we took our own kettle.taxi next morning 15euros to the ship. taxi driver lifted our cases out and a ship guy took them to the conveyor belt (by the time we boarded about an hour later all the cases were on our beds!)slight queue to fill in a couple of forms and get our ship ID but less than an hour, and we arrived at a busy time. the lady at the desk then told us we may have a couple of hours to wait before boarding, which i found strange having read lots of reviews on cruise critic. so we just headed for the ship and walked straight on, so no idea what she was on about!the ship was wonderful. we searched all week for a complaint to make, and i finally came up with one! the shower was never hot enough, but neither was the bathroom ever cold, and my 2 shipmates thought it was ok, so that's purely personal.we hired a CABANA for the week and it was a great thing to do, for us. we were next to the LIDO pool, we were served cups of tea and lunch then champagne and chocolate coated strawberries in the afternoon, spoilt was the word! Sonny and Efren really looked after us. thanks guys.also proved a great meeting point for us, we could all wander off knowing that we would all end up back at the cabana for a brew and a swim. hot tubs and pool great. Pool was freezing to start with but was like a hot bath a couple of days later.we ate in the main dining room every night, on different tables, some nights on our own and others with extra people. all very entertaining. i have a serious food allergy and the staff all looked after me. i was always given the next nights menu at the end of my meal so i could pick my dishes and they would be prepared specially for me. that meant a lot to me, thanks EURODAM.the stewards were wonderful, great service and banter. and you know how we English love our tea, well i found a box of PG Tips in the Lido so asked for 'monkey tea'. eventually word spread and most of the stewards knew what 'monkey tea' was by the end of the cruise!! its for the 3 English ladies! really great service.all the ports of call were very good.Monte Carlo was the best for me, (the reason for taking this cruise), Santa Margherita ligure and Portofino were lovely, very picturesqueCivitevecchia for Rome, we didn't get off, had a relax on ship.Trapani, Sicily, we parked in town! literally, no bus needed!Tunisia, we got off the ship but stayed in port, there a was a bazaar and camels, very nice, got most of my souvenirs here.and then sea day and back to Barcelona.what a week! brilliant.thank you EURODAM!!

excellent cabin. there were 3 of us. cabin compact but it worked for us.

bathroom compact but very functional.

the only thing lacking in the smaller cabins such as ours was space! and there's plenty of that on the rest of the ship! also it helped that we had a balcony, there was lots of space out there, not usable but looked spacious!!

good position midship. very quiet, often thought we were the only ones on the ship!
