Here are my thoughts in brief on my Gem experience:Stayed in a mini suite on deck 11 w/ 2 kids and husbandI liked:Friendly serviceFreestyle diningCC Meet and Greet CleanlinessFood choicesI disliked:Decor in atrium :garish color scheme and low end cheep finishesDecor in halls/stairways: dark faux paneling/dark blue carpetMini suite decor(again garish color scheme and low end cheep finishes) and room configuration. Thought Carnival Pride was superior in their choice of finishes and lay out.Portions in restaurants were ridiculously small-granted you could order additional food but it gave the dining experience a very cheep feel.__________________
