day 1 embarking went smooth, the person that took care of us in the wheelchair access area wasn't that friendly but got us through fast. I was traveling with 4 people, my wife her father me and my father. my wife's father needed to use a wheel chair to get around. mind you if you need wheelchair assistance do not expect princess to help you. they took away the scooter program. so we had to rent a wheelchair on our own which was another expense, not too happy about that. after checking in we boarded the ship. and i was not impressed at all. after seeing the ship from the outside it was enormously bigger than all other ships it was next too. but yet when you walk in you wonder where all that space went to. the prominent deck is suppose to be the best part of the ship..i was very amazed that when you walk in and look up it only went up to 4 decks while standing right in the middle..mostly all ships iv been on if you look up your neck hurts cuz its so far up..you can see at least 14 decks...well not this ship..you only see 4 which was very shocking to me..the ship seemed very small inside very hard to maneuver around with the wheelchair without bunking into someone..this ship is not as big as it looks people..so be prepared if that's what you think..my wife & I checked into our room we got a balcony on Aloha deck..it was nice for 2 people not as roomy as i thought but enough for just us. the inside state room both fathers had..and that was about average size on all other ships..small with no windows..just 4 walls...day 2 we sailed to st Thomas..this island is not as nice as st croix or st maarten but it was one we never visited, so we thought to take a shot at it..the buffet food was eatable but not nearly as good as the dining room. so it depends on how your taste buds are to rate this buffet..Iam rating it as a 4 on a scale from 1 to 10. the grill outside on the pool deck is very good..they make fresh burgers an hotdogs all night long til 1130 pm..and there food is very good..if you want a hot dog or burger do not get it in the buffet area..walk out to poolside an get it from there..believe me you can tell the difference..day 3 Antigua, very nice island i must say..alot to do, and alot of shopping if thats what you like..day 4 and day 5..at sea...now people this is what im talking about..after 17 cruises these are the days i look forward to..i love sea days..this is the time to explore the ship fully and find the places on the ship you haven't seen yet...in this paragraph i will keep you posted on my opinion the ship ..the pool was always crowed on sea days..so if you need some relax time and want to get away from the crowed areas go to the sanctuary or the adult pool at the stern..mind you..this pool always has chairs available and there is also a hot tub ..the only part i did not like is that after the second day of relaxing an enjoying the time there..the kids came out and were yelling an screaming ..after i looked i noticed they put the kids area right next to the adult pool..now how stupid is that..why even call it an adult pool..ill tell you after sailing with caribbean princess some of the things i noticed i couldn't figure out for the life of me..the dining room service was excellent, the front desk staff were very nice and helpful, all in all if you are looking to board the caribbean princess its a nice cruise if you are looking for something to getaway and for like 6 days or less..not a good ship for the long haul..if your looking for something in the 10 day range then look into Holland America , or Royal Caribbean which have more room on these ships....

Cabin Review

Cabin AE

balcony cabin was only good for 2 people was very tight not roomy at all..the bathroom was ultra small the bed was comfortable, the balcony was ok but had some kind of hard mat that made the chairs slide to much and was ruff on your feet if you were bear foot..the crew was nice and always kept a clean room.

the hallways were small and tight ..always had to move over to let people by..
