About a week out we booked through Princess for a 7 day trip on the Ruby Princess. We have sailed Princess 4 or 5 times and again had a good experience with this line. It was there last Caribbean trip before heading to Europe. Not sure if that has any impact on the trip, but we felt great about the value, quality, and the enjoyment factor.Embarkation was so easy. Made us wonder if the ship was full. We were in our balcony room by 12 noon. Karla was the best room steward ever. Anything we asked for just magically happened and we were most appreciative.Despite some reviews that were critical of the food or on the decline in food quality, we thought the food was just fine. Good "anytime" dining room experience, good buffet variety with no lines ever, and a nice time at the Crown Grill (worth the fee). Pizza at lunch was the best ever.No crowds. Found shade or sun on every sea day. We never stood in a line for anything...from port landings to buffets. Again, wondered if the ship was full. On cruise critic, the view of the entertainment was average at best....but we thought it was just fine.AND THE BEST OF ALL. Two hours into the cruise my wife paid for our entire cruise at the 25 cent slots. Unbelievable. We have never won on a ship before.Overall...............GREAT TRIP
