We booked a tour through belizecruiseexcursions.com to do the Altun Ha ruins. I don't know that I would use them again. We got off the ship too early and had to wait around in the hot humid weather for 1 1/2 hours before our tour started. The website said that there would only be 14 in our group but we ended up with 17 and took a bus to Altun Ha. The ruins were great but I don't think I would do that tour again. We got back to the port and had a free lunch which was included with the tour price and then had about 30 minutes to shop before getting back on the tender. I wouldn't recommend that tour company based on our experience and probably would opt to do something other than the ruins next time. 



Belize City

We got off the ship and walked to the parking lot of the port and found some guys holding signs for tours in air conditioned vans. We asked to go somewhere that had a beach and snorkeling. After some negotiating we got the price down to $25 for adults and $10 for kids (I think) and were taken over to Club Caribe Cozumel. This place was A++++. They had a pool, beach with loungers, full bar, and restaraunt on site. The food and drinks were extra but everything else to include the snorkeling gear is included. The snorkeling was decent and they have a guide who will take your group out the first time. The current is strong so you just drift back to the beach. Lots of fish to see in the water to include a bunch of barracudas. The strwaberry margaritas are excellent and are $7 a piece. We spent about $50 for lunch and the food was great as well. We asked a few of the cruise folks how much they paid and it was $45 per person or more so we got a heck of a deal. Miguel waited for us right at the resort until we were ready to go back to the port. 


Cozumel

They should rename this place to Paradise because that is what it is. After reading some info on this forum we opted for the Maya Key excursion through Carnival. The place is amazing. They have something for everyone here and the price is right. They have an animal sanctuary, beach, bar, small shop, and snorkeling. We got off the boat and went to the beach and found some loungers right next to the water. We walked around and saw the monkeys, and jaguars, etc and then walked down the pier to do some snorkeling. I didn't know what to expect and when you first get in the water all the coral is dead right around the dock ladder. But swim out about 50 yards and you are greeted by an amazing reef teaming with marine life. It was absolutely beautiful and expansive. I snorkeled two seperate times and wished I would've had more time to do it again. Lunch was available anytime after 11:30pm at your leisure. You got one time to go through the buffet line but there was plenty of food. Salad, chicken, fish, rice and beans, and plantain chips. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody visiting Roatan. 


Roatan

One word. SUCKED. We didn't want to spend any money doing a beach tour so we opted to just walk around and shop. Well since the royal wedding was going on they had a holiday in the Cayman Islands so most the shops were closed. And the ones that were opened were really pricey and nobody wanted to haggle. So after an hour we decided to just go back to the ship and sit at the pool which was great. There was nobody on the boat so we had the lido deck to ourselves. 


Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Cabin 7351: Great view but you get some vibration from the engines. I would save money next time and just get a regular balcony.

Our first waitress wasn't very friendly so we made sure to sit somewhere else the 2nd night and found a great waitress (Roselle).The big New Orleans style show was pretty good but the ship was rocking that night from the choppy seas and I wasn't fealing the best.
