I had the pleasure of cruising out of Miami on the Destiny beneath clear blue skies and perfect temperatures! everything about this cruise was well worth the cost,in spite of what you may read elsewhere on these pages. I am not sure what ship these people were on but we enjoyed our meals in the main dining room very much,we had wonderful table mates, excellent service(never felt rushed!),were given a table with a view of the open water after a simple request to the maitre'd,food was cooked well, always hot,and you can order as much as you want. Sometimes the lines at the Lido buffet were long, but this was due mostly to people who obviously never used utensils to serve themselves before or chose to make sandwiches and butter their toast while in line, thereby making others wait for them before they could get their own meals. Never saw the so called "bacon police" that some like to mention on here,if you simply ask for more YOU GET MORE!Fitness room was all it could be and more-free weights, treadmills, elipticals, weight machines and not out dated equipment either! Anyway,I do not expect 4 star dining,Broadway entertainment,or getting my butt kissed, not at these affordable prices. It was a very relaxing trip, sun, cocktails,no cell phones,no work,no driving and searching for restaurants or parking and all about us! What more can you ask for? I am doing a New England cruise on Carnival in June and expect it will be just as good as this one,a lot cooler weather but i am sure carnival would fix that if they could!
