My wife and I are veteran cruisers. This is our 2nd NCL cruise and our 14 cruise in total. This is by far the biggest ship we have ever been on. Pros: Tons of entertainment - We love to DO everything, and we still didn't have enough time. 7 day cruises can be boring especially with 4 nights at sea. This one was a pleasure always tons of stuff to do. This ship really is vegas at sea. Places to dance - This is an aspect of cruising my wife and I love very much. We love to dance to latin music but ofter we have trouble competing on a smaller ship with english passengers breaking up the time in the clubs. Epic had Spice H2O going all night with latin music. We loved it! Bliss lounge offers more dance and house music and even center ship was doing ball room dancing for older couples. Sadly this ship had some major consCons:Over Crowding - The ship seemed to be very over crowed. At breakfast there was hardly ever a place to sit at the buffet. We often found ourselves having to sit on the main deck because there wasn't any space. Other areas excursion desk, main dinning rooms, water park. However oddly enough there wasn't problems with traffic through most of the ship with the exception of one major area. Most cruise ship theaters tend to be 2 story and have exits on both levels. However the epic theater does NOT. It's 2 story with an incline and having 1 major exit. Here is where the problem is created the theater exit's directly next to a 8 elevators and NCL put a stupid help desk/ souvenir area in the middle and it creates a huge cluster Fu*k. To make matters worse the Spiegel Tent is on the other side of this desk. Now picture this when Blue man group lets out there is already a long ling waiting to enter the cirque dreams. It takes forever to leave the area after a show. NCL needs to adjust the timing of their shows.Disappointments - There were some disappointments on board ship that wasn't explained when we booked our cruise. The manhattan room was planned to be a sort of dinner and dancing setup. It seems when we boarded the captain changed the room (since people weren't dancing) and cut almost all of the dance floor out to provide more tables. I guess this was a way to cut back on crowding but it sure was a shame. The epic also has a teeny tiny pool. Plenty of sprinklers for the kids but nothing much for the adults. Plenty of room for it but the ship doesn't take advantage of this. We did have a good time, but I think this ship could do with less people and a little more space. It's a blast for party people and looks like it would be a great for families too. Also one thing we did notice was the fact that inside rooms on this ship tend to be spaced a bit better. You will read reviews about people having problems moving around. Try an inside cabin it was a lot better than our friends balcony room. Bottom line this ship is worth a look. I can't stress enough about there being tons of stuff to do on this ship. This ship has tons of innovations that we've never seen on any other ship. My guess is NCL will fix most of these by our next sail on this wonderful ship.
