This was my third cruise and my husband's fifth. Neither of us had sailed with Celebrity prior to this cruise. We were extremely impressed with everything about this cruise from start to finish and will definitely be cruising with Celebrity in the future as will our friends who went with us on this cruise. The embarkation/disembarkation process could not have been smoother. On disembarkation day we were off the ship, had bags in hand and were loading into a taxi within five minutes of our designated time to meet in the restaurant. We were at the airport four hours before our scheduled flight. We would have booked an earlier flight had we known that the disembarkation process would have been so efficient. The Equinox is a beautiful ship. It is the largest ship we have been on, but didn't feel too large. Our room was nicely appointed and very clean. The balcony was lovely and the adjustable chairs were very nice. We had a problem with the tv at first, but as soon as we called they sent a technician up to look at it and we had no further problems with it. Our room steward was very attentive and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed and even anticipated some things before we even knew we would need them (like wine glasses to use with our two bottles of wine we were allowed to bring onboard...we never even asked for those so that was a nice touch). The pools, public areas, theaters, etc. were all beautiful. We especially enjoyed the lawn club. We weren't expecting to use that area much, but wound up there several times for the wine and cheese picnics, hot glass shows and we used the lawn game equipment a few times as well. It's a great spot for sail away and photos. It was nice not having constant announcements throughout the day. The captain would make one announcement at noon each sea day to update us on the ship's position and course and weather forecast and that was about it for announcements. The daily newsletter had all the information we needed and was very well put together. The food was excellent. We chose not to do any of the specialty restaurants because the food in the main dining room was wonderful and we very much enjoyed meeting and interacting with our waiter Alkan and assistant waiter Raynaldo. They were so attentive and if we asked for something once it was there each and every night without fail. We are not gamblers so I can't really comment on the casino. It seemed like a lot of other people were enjoying it, though. The bars were nice. We especially enjoyed the Molecular Bar and the interesting and unique drinks they served. The bartender , Jose, is so friendly and very knowledgeable about what he is doing. The "Coming up Roses" drink with crushed rose petals was my favorite! My husband very much enjoyed the Ginger mojito and the 20 year martini. We did not do much shopping in the stores on the ship, but browsed through a few times. They had some nice merchandise, although pricey, but that is to be expected on any ship.We enjoyed the entertainment on board. The Cirque de Soleil type show they had was spectacular! The ventriloquist was amusing also. We aren't ones to attend every show onboard, but the ones we chose we really enjoyed. This cruise was a food themed cruise called "Savor your destination". We did a behind the scenes tour of the galley and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the kitchen and all the equipment and staff it takes to prepare all of that wonderful food. We really didn't have time to participate in all the activities as some interfered with other plans (like naps!). We did attend the Champagne High Tea that was held in the Murano restaurant. It was $25.00 per person, but money well spent in my opinion. The service was excellent and the little tea sandwiches, scones and desserts were all mouth watering. The selection of teas to choose from was wonderful as well. There were some very talented musicians performing during the tea which made the experience even nicer. The shore excursions we did were all outstanding with the exception of the stingray/dolphin/turtle/tiki beach excursion in Grand Cayman. All of our excursions are described in more detail in the excursion section below.Overall, we had an excellent vacation and would definitely choose Celebrity again. I can't say enough good things about the ship and the crew from the captain to the cleaning crew. They all were hardworking, friendly, helpful and went out of their way to speak to us and always had a smile on their faces. As far as fellow passengers, it did seem like an older crowd overall, but there were some young people (20's-30's) and middle ages also. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. There was something for everyone, no matter what age. We didn't have kids with us so I can't really comment to children's activities. There weren't many kids on the ship, but those we saw were well behaved and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Can't wait for our next cruise with Celebrity!!

Great balcony. Wonderful room steward, Servio. Overbed cabinets are nice for extra storage. Chairs on balcony are adjustable which is great! Overall nice room. Close to elevators. There is also a card/game room on this floor (9th)which has playing cards and an assortment of board games available.
