First and foremost - My first impression when arriving on board. A wonderful looking ship. One of my favorite to date. The ship looked great and seemed to be well cared for. I found no issues with overall cleanliness and I really liked the interior decor and design.Staff. A fair number of older reviews didn't always rate the service staff highly, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. There were young, middle, and even older folks working in the services area and I found all of them to be friendly and willing to help. Is it a bit different than other ships not of American registry? - Yes. But not so much it made a difference with us. We found young people who were always glad to speak of home, their hopes, there goals, and just themselves in general. I found all of these folks very nice indeed. In as far as the Officers go, I continue to find them willing to listen and help where they can. They can't help if you don't ask! As with all other NCL cruises, where I have been involved with a CruiseCritic.com meet and greet, many of the section heads attended as well as the Captain. Not all lines do this to such an extent. I thank them for their concern and the concern they show to CruiseCritic folks. They even scheduled a last day cruise review with us and sadly I forgot to attend. They really wanted and valued our input.Entertainment: well, if you have been on a Bermuda cruise you might relate to this and if you have always done Caribbean cruises and such you might want to expect something a bit different. Due to the overnight stays in port, and the lack of sea days, don't expect a three floor theater and shows that rival Broadway and Vegas. Not going to happen. What you will see are some smaller nightly shows, comedians, magic, variety, and some Second City stuff. No Casino on this cruise. No problem where I'm concerned but if you have to have the casino, this might not do it for you.Food. I've noted an industry wide situation here and with some lines it is more noticeable. With all the surcharge restaurants on the ships these days it seems as if the food in the main dining rooms is becoming more basic (for lack of a better word). It seems like you must go to the specialty restaurants to get the quality and service we received in the main dining rooms years ago. NCL is not an exception. We ate at the Liberty main dining room and kept an eye on the menu the entire cruise. We once used the Liberty once and the Skyline once as well. Average. We choose to eat at the Oasis Cafe for most of the trip. I find NCL to excel in this area. I can find little fault with their cafes and this also seems fleet wide. The really do have good buffets and POA is no exception. Good stuff. Staterooms on this ship seem a bit small to me. I was most happy we got a Balcony.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

10034 (I may have listed category BB but I really don't recall what Category it was.

Anyway, These rooms have about what any cabin would have but run a bit smaller when compared to most we have been in. We got a balcony and I was glad. This room might have been too small without the ability to step out from time to time.

Coffee machines in the room with Hawaiian coffee. Should help those who can't take the ship's coffee. Also a pre-stocked refrigerator. Again, the usual stateroom items.

Robes for use.

Fair sized Balcony

It is across from a room steward's entry door but we didn't notice any major noise as a result. Staterooms above and below so no public areas above or below, front or back.

Small but efficient closets.

A bit less bathroom shelf space for toiletries than usual.

Overall stateroom is pretty tight where moving is concerned. We did a good deal of stepping aside and backing up in this room when we found ourselves in the same spot.

General appearance was good.
