After reading some negative reviews of Pride (both prior to and following our particular cruise) I can't help but wonder what ship those folks were on because, from my experience, it sure wasn't the Pride. Some of these complaints and observances that I've seen are just ridiculous! For a nine year old ship it's in pretty darn good condition. We also sailed on Pride out of Baltimore two years ago and the ship looks as nice as it did then. Embarkment from Baltimore was a breeze. It took us 20 minutes to check in, go through security, etc...before we boarded the ship. Debarkment a week later was just as easy. The crew on Carnival Pride is wonderful. Everybody was so friendly and worked so hard to help make our experience a good one. The passengers on this sailing were really terrific as well. A very friendly bunch of people. We met some very nice folks. The food at the Normande Restaurant was fabulous every night. The service was great. We opted for Anytime Dining, (which works very well for us) so we did not have the same table and servers every night. We were seated in Roderick's section on three occasions and in Thomas' on two evenings. Every dining experience in there was top-notch. Can't recommend it enough. So very worth cleaning up for.Our stateroom service was excellent. Our steward was Serge and he was very personable and did a terrific job. We loved the two night layover in port @ Bermuda. We were able to come and go as we pleased at all hours of the day and night, so we never felt rushed in port to try and cram as much as possible into a 10 hour span. We were able to be relaxed and leisurely and it was a real pleasure. Also, Bermuda is beautiful and fascinating. It always helps to have a desirable port of call. JAll in all, a GREAT vacation and we can't wait to go again!
