From the time we entered the ship and until we departed, we experienced nothing but excellent service, professional staff, immaculate accommodations and superb dining experiences! We have been to many 5 star restaurants in the Los Angeles area, and the meals that we were served equaled or exceeded our experiences! Our cabin, 1227, Concierge Class C2, which as a little further aft, had our bed next to our balcony so we could fall asleep with the doors open, enjoying the sound of the ocean and the night air. We were traveling with another couple, so we had adjoining suites which allowed our balconies to be opened and shared with our travel mates. Our cabin was very spacious, with more than ample storage space and drawers for our belongings. Our bag slide under the King sized bed which saved a great deal of space in our room. Our closet was spacious with probably 24 wooden hangers for our use. Our bathroom was equally spacious allowing the tow of us the use of the shower and the sink at the same time. The bathroom was very spacious allowing us to store all of our personal toiletries in the cabinet and drawers. The chairs and the sofa were in leather and the dEcor of the room was modern chic in warm tones of beige, brown, and burgundy...very pleasing to the eye. A safe was also provided free of charge. Toiletries provided were of excellent quality and we appreciated the body wash that was provided for the shower. The free canapEs provided every evening were a welcome addition and as well as our expanded room service menu. Our cabin staff was friendly, professional and very attentive. A large flat screen TV could be tilted to face the bed for casual viewing. The room was exceptionally quiet with us never hearing anyone in the hallway or the rooms next to us anytime during our cruise. We could not fault our accommodation or our attendants...luxury at an affordable price($1,200 for each of us !)We had the later dinner seating at 8:30 and our table was situated on the main floor at the end of the stairway which afforded us a view of everyone coming into the dining room. Our wait staff was professional, friendly, warm and very attentive! At the end of the cruise, they felt like old friends to us! They provided extra portions of the extensive menu and both the fixed menu items and the menu of the day were well varied and the quality and presentation of the meals were fabulous! There was not a single meal or meal item that we did not thoroughly enjoy! The breads and desserts served during each meal were fantastic! I gain 4 pounds on our 10 night cruise! The dining room was posh and glitzy with lots of chrome, glass and crystal in a modern contemporary styleWe attended one of the upscale restaurants, the Murano, and were not disappointed with the additional $35/person dinner fee. The wait staff was ultra-professional, attentive and the food and service is what you would expect at a posh Beverly Hills restaurant, but no bill at the end of dinner!!!Our ship, the Equinox, was one of the newer larger "Solstice" class ships ... it was a large, luxurious ship that was easy to get around and was very passenger friendly. The elevators were fast and efficient....and we marveled that the ship was so ultra-clean...we could not see fingerprints on the stainless or chrome molding of the well-used elevator! AMAZING!The pools areas were large and we could always find a padded lounger somewhere onboard the ship. Our ports we wonderful and the excursions offered were plentiful but not overly expensive. The main showroom stage was VERY professional as well as the shows, especially the "Cirque du Soleil" type of show provided! Plush seat with handy drink caddies for your enjoyment! All of the staff from the ship's Captain to the wait staff seemed truly interested in you thoroughly enjoying the Celebrity cruise experience! If I am not mistaken, both Formmer's and Conde Naste rate the Solstice class ship as one of the best in the larger class cruise ships...we are spoiled to receive such luxurious accommodations, sumptuous meals, attentive staff and a marvelous destination for $130/day/person! AMAZING!We are already planning another Celebrity cruise on another Solstice class ship in another Concierge level cabin for 2012!

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Equinox, cabin 1227, adjoining cabin 1229, very quiet, bed near the balcony, very clean, well-maintained, further near the aft of the ship but just before the side of the ship where it flares out so our room seemed a little more spacious. Well laid out floor plan and we never felt cramped...felt like we were in a very luxurious hotel room! We were on the Sky deck level which was very quiet, not very windy and very quiet .... the evenings on the balcony were very quiet and not much light from the ship so it made our stay on our balcony very private!! Will definitely reserve the Concierge class stateroom for our next Celebrity Solstice Class cruise ship in 2012!!
