Sail Date: Apr 2011
Cabin: Panoramic Ocean View Stateroom

Embarkation: No issues, there must be a better way though.Debarkation: Disorganized, had us sit in the Theater (5th Floor), then all of us (200-250 people with suitcases, we all asked for "walk off" option days earlier) were asked to disembark on the 4th Floor, elevators were full of people. Why not just ask people to wait on the 4th Floor?!There HAS to be a better way. Staff looked dazed at the scene, without offering direction.Cabin was very noisy, especially in the early morning when they were setting up for breakfast in the My Fair Lady Dining Room above. Ruined entire cruise, 1st good night's sleep was first night back at home. As always, all staff was excellent. There was a feeling though that RC was using less staff than normal though. Food in the My Fair Lady Dining Room (2nd Seating) was poor, steak quality (?) was something you get at fast food steak houses, next cruise we may use the Windjammer Marketplace, choices and quality looked much better (Sushi, etc.).The ship "stank" in certain areas, smelled liked sewage back up. The ship also needs a refresh, rumor on the ship was that the ship will be refurbished in late 2012. The Bar service throughout the ship was excellent. The Pool Bar definitely short poured one Rum Runner ordered, switched bars to the "Oasis" Bar, and it was excellent. Seemed like the Pool Bar catered to regular "Bar Flies".The shows were fine, comedians were not as good as in the past, maybe the ship demographics, majority over 60, dictated which comedians/shows to present. Cruise director and his wife were refreshing and very good.. This was a Crown and Anchor member cruise. Much of the activities were Arts and Crafts!!! These activities were presented by "RC" Head Office personnel. They definitely seemed out of place. The gentleman who emceed the intro to these activities was frankly annoying. I felt a little insulted as a Crown and Anchor member on a member cruise where most of the activities were Arts and Crafts. Weird way to build loyalty. The other Crown and Anchor activities were the usual "welcome back"champagne meet and greets. During these meet and greets they introduce people that have cruised many many times. Some of us will never be able to cruise that much. This should be re-thought as it discourages people. ex. If there is no way we will be able to reach a level, we may decide to try other lines. Opposite effect of Loyalty. Have a special event for them.

Cabin Review

Panoramic Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

Cabin too noisy with breakfast preparation early in the morning, ruined complete cruise. Do not book Ocean View Back of the ship on the 3rd floor of this ship.
