A wonderful "get away from it all" cruise aboard an old friend. Embarkation: incredibly swift, perhaps 15 minutes from super shuttle dropoff to our cabin, pleasantly surprised with an unrequested cabin upgrade. Disembarkation was equally expeditious.Food: most at-sea breakfasts taken in the International Dining Room, great selection, customized service, one champagne breakfast on our balcony was very nice with smoked salmon, a quiche, berries and peppermint tea; lunches in the International Dining Room or at the themed buffet on the Lido Deck were all quite good with an amazing variety for all tastes, 12 dinners in the anytime dining Santa Fe Dining Room (at the same table each evening) were top quality each evening, spectacular lamb, seafood, prime rib all served without delay by Luis, a very friendly waiter who made great recommendations which we followed faithfully without disappointment, quite possibly the best food we can recall with Princess, one dinner at the "Chef's Table" a phenomenal experience with personalized attention from the executive chef Nilo, the maitre 'd Ignazio, and sommelier, Claudia and 8 other passengers...menu included 4 appetizers with champagne, lobster risotto with white wine, cracked pepper strawberry sorbet with Grey Goose vodka, tender veal shank and beef tenderloin with red wine, a baked cheese course, and a decadent chocolate dessert served with a wonderful dessert wine...likely our best meal ever.Entertainment: 5 production shows most of which we've seen before but continue to enjoy as if it were the first time, dancers were spectacular except for one who seemed to get in her own way frequently, two female vocalists and one male vocalist were very good and the second male vocalist about average, assortment of other acts including comedian Derrick Cameron (quite good), ventriloquist Dan Horn (quite good), a zany magician, impressionist Sean O'Shea (not great), musician/comic Steve Moris (lots of fun and amazing guitarist) and a hypnotist (Terry Stokes) who had folks doing some pretty funny stuff. Also enjoyed the trivia games, the Dixieland band, the Armadillo String Quartet, and other lounge musical acts.Cabin attendant Vicente was stellar. The clerks in "Facets" (Elizabeth, Carol, Movin, and Deyan) and "Essence" (Lance, Sandra, and Amber) were especially nice and helpful. Purser Desk crew was also extremely hospitable (especially Melanie). Future cruise sales representative Ray was a joy to work with as we planned another voyage.Cruise Director (Kelvin) and Staff (especially JJ and Sam) were all top notch. Kelvin was a hoot and so friendly. The entire staff on Sapphire seemed to exude happiness every day and that really helps make the cruise enjoyable.Lotus Spa....great hot tubs and staff, Shakira gave my wife one of her best haircuts ever. Sapphire appears to be in great shape overall with very minor distractions. All hands from the Captain on down are committed to make life easy and fun for everyone onboard. Well Done! We've seen most of what the islands have to offer so we didn't go ashore very often or for any length of time.
