My 17 year old son and I went on the Oasis in February 2011. The check-in was a breeze, absolutely no lines and no waiting. We were onboard the ship by 12pm. Our room was ready at 1pm and it was lovely. We had a balcony room overlooking Central Park and it was a great view. Central Park is incredible. You really get the sense of being in a real park with the plants and the trees. They even pipe in singing birds, a very relaxing place to read a book or just sit and it was never crowded at all.The Boardwalk was probably my favorite spot. The Aqua Theater was there and they had the most entertaining shows at all hours of the day and night there. Even when there were no shows being performed it was a great spot to sit, have a drink and look at the ocean. The food was okay. As some posters have already stated the Windjammer was not very good, the food there seemed like it had been sitting out for a awhile and for the most part didn't have much flavor. There were many other great options but most of them were for an extra charge. Chops Grille was wonderful. The service was excellent and the food was out of this world. Johnny Rockets and the Seafood Shack were both very good as was the buffet dining at the Park Cafe. The shows were great especially the comedy show and the aqua theater show. The best part of this cruise was how much fun my son had. This is a perfect ship for mid-late teens. There is so much to do for them. It was great for him to have as much freedom as he did on the ship. I don't think he came in before 2AM on any night and he says it was the best vacation he has ever been on (and he's been on quite a few lol).We are definitely planning a repeat trip next February vacation week. it can't come soon enough for either of us.
