we sailed on the Independence on the 14th March and glad to say we had a fantastic time from start to end.The sheer size of the ship makes you think how something this big can stay afloat, there is so much to do on this cruise ship. It was our first time cruising and we were a bit apprehensive being only 25 & 26 years of age of what the age groups were going to be like, we were surprised that there was a good variety of all ages on board and not just your silver surfers! The Food was my favourite as i do like to indulge when on holiday and boy could you indulge! there was so much choice in the windjammer from Asian, Indian, sushi, salads, carvery, desserts i must stop now i am getting hungry! we sat in the main dinning room King Lear on 3 of our 11 nights which was also delicious. The ship is spotlessly clean and the staff are forever cleaning and sanitizing everything! Being a personal trainer i spent a lot of time in the gym, it's a top of the range state of the art gym with state of the art cardio equipment as well as free weight dumbells going up to 80lb, they also have excellent fixed weight machines and have classes running from 7am throughout the day my only criticism is that there was little air conditioning and did get a little stuffy especially when doing cardio.I could go on for ever raving about how good the ship is but don't take my word for it, book a holiday on hear you will not be disappointed a special thanks must go out to Joff the cruise Director who was superb at his job and made us laugh so much also The Welsh Wizard Neil who was great fun and always happy.
