I really enjoy travelling with Celebrity but must say that I prefer the smaller ship experience of the Century. she might have been older, creakier, not equipped with floating crystal trees and glass elevators - but more dear to me! Maybe I just don't like lots of people around. I just didnt enjoy the larger experience. Equinox was a fabulous experience but I felt that in catering for the masses - logistically a nightmare but well performed - that something was missing. I didnt feel part of a conveyor belt on the Century. People didnt wander about in the cafe and sit at the tables in their swimming clothes on the Century. When I'm eating my lunch I don't want half naked people lounging next to me - there are sun decks for that. It happened on the Equinox in addition to people trying to go in to the main dining room at night in shorts! Read the dress code and if you don't agree with it - go somewhere else!I loved the top deck with the grass and a couple of teak benches to sit on. All to myself. Everything else was great, good food, great service would travel with Celebrity again. Only thing - I never did get that little piece of art that I bought at the auction!! I had quite forgotten about it till I started to write this!!
Nothing to complain about. After all you are on a ship and not a great big hotel or at home. Perfectly adequate balcony room. Well maintained and furnished. No complaints. People next door - middle aged business man type with wife half his age - a bit noisy on their balcony with radio etc - soon silenced by guy on other side of me speaking to housekeeping. Very well done.
