I was a little apprehensive about this cruise, given the recent negative reviews of the Dawn. I'll admit that some of the decor does need to be remodeled and our balcony needed some work, including replacing the floor and restaining/sealing of the wooden rails. But other than that, the ship was in fine condition and in my opinion doesn't merit the negative reviews I've read. The pool area was well maintained and the public areas were always clean.Boarding was easy and quick and the staff had the ship ready to go very quickly. There was a slight delay in getting some of our luggage, but that's a minor complaint.Overall, the food was very good, especially breakfast in the buffet. A friend and I tried both the Salsa and Impressions pay restaurants and both were good. Impressions was probably better. The bar staff in all of the bars were very attentive, especially server Jeffrey Escobedo. Great staff. As far as the ports of call, Grand Cayman was OK, but I'm not sure I'd go ashore again. Cozumel was great for shopping and eating. Definitely worth another trip.Overall, I liked the Dawn. I know it's going to be remodeled soon and we plan on cruising on it again after the remodel.

Cabin BB

We were in cabin 10202, which I wouldn't recommend only because there must be a public room above it in which staff drag chairs or tables or something across the floor, which made a lot of noise. Other than that, I like the layout of the bathrooms, including the sliding doors on the shower.
