Our teen had a great time on this trip, hundreds of kids because of spring break. The food was delicious, lots of options. They had only two small pools, one is adults only. Never seen such small pools on a cruise ship. There was a great water slide that was hardly ever open. However, when we analyzed the trip, I don't think I'll travel Carnival again. The entertainment was sorely lacking, very amateur. At embarkation, a duo sang in the lobby that would case your hair to stand on end, unfortunately they entertained throughout the cruise. It was a concensus among our group that Carnival books these groups without listening to them! The only bright spot was a reggae group that entertained at the pool. We're gamblers and have been to many casinos. The personnel, especially the pit personnel were the rudest we had every seen. Everyone was commenting on their behavior. An example, we bought in for $500 each at a 7 person table, 3 people were playing. The pit boss stops the game and asks each of us to move to a chair directly behind our cards! What! It was a difference of perhaps 6 inches and we were gambling! The dealers went extremely fast, never cracked a smile, never interacted with the players, frankly didn't care at all. No wonder their tips are low. At the end of the cruise, the machine Texas Holdem was full, and again it was the shared opinion that it was full to avoid the personnel at the tables. I'll never spend another dime at this casino company.Drink prices were very high, beer was $6.75!We had just cruised with NCL the month before and the difference between the casino personnel was night and day. NCL casino personnel went out of their way to make the customer feel at home and to feel lucky. Even though we lost, we had a wonderful time and went every night.Carnival should drop Montego Bay and add more time to Grand Cayman. Two elegant nights were too much. We travel for vacation, we can dress up at home for events, we avoid the formal dress. If you pick "anytime dining", be prepared to wait. Even though, the dining room had many empty tables, we had a 30 minute wait every night. Finally, we had a suite and VIP treatment and were able to avoid the long lines. It was an average 2-3 hour wait to for embarkation, pure chaos.
