When friends ask how my last trip was, I just say "ok". It was ok - definitely nothing special. Obviously as the other reviewers have noted, there were way too many spring breakers on board. They were disruptive. All we talked to individually were considerate and nice - but obviously when they were in groups, that changed. In Grand Cayman, the "adults" actually took over the pool while the spring breakers were on shore. They were not too happy when they couldn't "get to the pool" when they came back. I have to say though, it was fun to watch them. To be 22 again and dress like that...We ate two meals in the specialty restaurants (Cagney's and Le Bistro). The other meals were either in the Garden Cafe or the main restaurants. We had no problem being seated anywhere. We did go to dinner early which helped. Service was the absolute worst in the Venetian - extremely slow by our waiter. Other tables came in after us and left before us. Our guy was just slow. The food was great. Service and food in Cagney's and Le Bistro were excellent. It was worth the surcharge. We enjoyed the entertainment. In 38 cruises, obviously there has been better entertainment, but this was not bad by any means. I enjoyed Dave Heenan and he sings wonderfully. I wish he would sing more. Gleason Magic was ok - the kids liked him. The production shows were very good. It was the first time I've seen gymnasts perform in a production at sea.We stayed on the ship in Grand Cayman (having been there many times) and took advantage of spa offers. For $129 we had a choice of three services. I elected to get a facial, pedicure and massage. For usual ship prices - this was a great deal. Unfortunately they are too interested in selling their products. This was the first time I did "free-style cruising" and I can't say I didn't like it. It was kind of nice to go to dinner when hungry instead of waiting for my scheduled time. I missed not getting to know the waiters and crew like you do on other ships. Overall it was ok - just don't go at spring break time!

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BC

In 38 cruises, this was by far the smallest cabin I have been in. It supposedly slept three, but there was no room for two people and clothing let alone a third. The balcony was the smallest ever and filthy. There was left over food and gum all over. The glass on the balcony looked as though it had never been cleaned and I know the balcony itself wasn't. Although the cabin looked as though it was clean, it was dirty. I put my suitcase under the bed and there was food underneath it and the couch. Also, our toilet wasn't cleaned every day. And the bed -- I think my hips are still bruised from laying on what felt like concrete all week.
