To our misfortune we picked up a virus from a very rude traveler who coughed all over us during the first show we attended and it really limited our activity, however, that is not the ships fault.

For the record, this was our fourteenth cruise and our third Carnival cruise. Our favorite cruise line is Holland America, second favorite is Royal Caribbean. NCL and Carnival are not at the top of our list. We are retirees who cruise to get away from boredom and relax.

First the ups.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

Cabin was excellent, with one exception. Mattresses are poor. When fluffy duvet is off the beds, you can see huge body depressions from former guests. Mattresses do not contain any type of springs or support. They are just like very heavy pads. You feel as though you are sleeping in a hammock in bed. I had the same problem on Carnival's Glory a couple of years ago. They need better beds.

Otherwise, cabin was roomy with great storage. Balcony was excellent. Everything worked well and it was very clean. Exceptionally long sofa in cabin which was nice. Decor was mildly colorful and very pleasant.
