We sailed on the 9 night cruise from Barcelona on Feb. 25th. We stayed at Le Meredian in Barcelona and loved the location on La Rambla. It was a quick taxi ride to the port and embarkation was very quick - no lines. As others have said the anti-virus hand spraying is intense the first couple of days and the heat on the ship is high, but by the third day, the heat is turned down and the hand spraying is mainly in the buffet and getting on and off the ship.

We didn't book until January and could only get an inside cabin on deck 11. A great value, but we missed having daylight in the morning. Loved the location mid ship on deck 11 - we could walk to the bridge viewing area to see what the weather was like. We were under an entrance to the Garden Cafe and did hear some carts in the mornings and some heel clicking from the gal who walks around with a clipboard. Wouldn't rubber soled shoes be more comfortable for her? But overall not bad and our cabin stewards Renato and Frederick were good. No coffee maker or robes in inside cabins and we had to ask for laundry bags, but did love the sliding door shower and no slider on the toilet was easier to deal with. We were surprised that smoking was allowed in the cabins and thrilled that no smokers had been in our cabin before us.

We purchased the wine package right away to get the 20% discount which offset the Spanish tax some. They store the open wine bottles in two spots on the ship are able to find it for your next dinner. We also purchased the spa pass - the tour we had to endure first was too long and we never used any of the other services because they are too expensive ($90 for a pedicure?) and the acupuncture lady scared me. Since is was too cold for the pool area and we had an inside cabin, we used the spa every day and really enjoyed it. The price was $139 on the first day, but dropped to $119 the next morning. We asked for the credit since we didn't use it the first day, but were told no.

Storage space was good for 2. Small room (inside cabin) - tight around the table tops near the end of the bed - no need for the stool or chair, couldn't use them if we wanted to. Bathroom was good size - loved the shower with the sliding door and that the toilet didn't have a slider. Would have been nice to have more room in the fridge for our small bottled water.
