Yes, the ship is showing signs of wear but we saw crew everyday working hard to keep things clean. Which was very hard to do with 1100 spring breakers ages 18-23. We thought security did an awesome job keeping things under control. Several students were removed from the ship at ports due to vandalism or theft.
I found the Dawn clean and crew for the most part friendly. Our suite needed a deep cleaning but was still very nice. Anoop was excellent as our concierge as was our butler Leila - who provided treats each day. We did get to know several crew members during our trip. Oswald, George - both very friendly.
Food - all quality. We only eat at Teppanyaki +$25 each, not sure it was worth it but we enjoyed the show. All no charge restaurants were just fine. Blue Lagoon staff often was not friendly but they might have been tired of the spring breakers. Hot wings are a must according to my son and hubby.
11060 Mid ship starboard - Family Suite - deck 11 - below pool - can be noisy.
GREAT shower and has a bath tub!
