We did back to back sailings on the Emerald in February - the 6th and 16th - and chose these cruises to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day. This review covers the second cruise - The Eastern Caribbean. Read my earlier review on the Southern Caribbean if you wish as an introduction.

This was our 47th cruise on Princess and 73rd overall. It was a very unusual cruise for us on Princess as there were many changes to what we had come to expect from a cruise on Princess- the most extreme one being the single Captain's Circle Party held in the atrium where everyone on the ship could attend. And then there were the little things that went wrong. Of course on every cruise some things go wrong and we all expect it to happen and let it pass. But on this cruise every day brought an increasing number of "little things" so the pile of "little things" grew every day (sort of a death by a thousand cuts but fewer). It was still an enjoyable cruise but not up to the standard we have experienced on other Princess ships. For the first time ever on a Princess cruise we started looking forward to disembarkation.
