Although this was our 5th Princess Cruise, it was again one of the best! We were a bit apprehensive after hearing about the troubles in Mexico - specifically, safety concerns. However, we know that Princess is a top notch company that would never compromise our safety. So once we boarded the ship, we viewed the excursions and selected one in each port. All were excellent, especially the zodiac whale watching boat ride in Cabo. Our stateroom was perfect, as always. We used the balcony every day as the weather was absolutely gorgeous. In the mid 70's with no humidity. The most difficult decisions were what to do since Princess offers so many on board activities. We love the Patter and enjoy trying something different on each cruise to break the routine. Room service for coffee each morning was a treat. By the way, they have the BEST coffee. We brought our own wine for the room which was a nice way to relax. We enjoyed the sit down menu lunch at the International Dining Room several times. Dinners were always full of variety and incredible meals. But don't forget the pizza, burgers, and hot dogs on deck 14. A nice alternative when you just aren't that hungry.

A big change we noticed was no sales or push to buy a soda/coffee plan, etc. It was nice to just enjoy the ship and the personnel were all so friendly. We splurged and signed up for the Ultimate Ship Tour. Although it was $150 per person on a lottery basis, WOW! Well worth it! A 3 hour behind the scenes tour of the galley, laundry, engine room, bow, print shop, medical office, photo lab and the bridge were phenomenal. Meeting the Captain, crew, and seeing how much effort goes into making us happy was a thrill. We received pictures, plush thick Princess robes, a Chef jacket, and forever memories. Bravo to Princess for offering this tour.

Overall, this was a fantastic cruise and we would highly recommend it to anyone!

Cabin Review

Loved the BIG bathroom in the mini suite. The oversized balcony was a treat. Our cabin was right next to the main elevators but we were never bothered by noise. In fact, we found it much easier to navigate the ship with a room in the middle.
