Went with a group of friends ranging from our late 20's-mid 30s. Originally we thought about booking Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas because it was a new ship, lots of things to do and heard so many good reviews about it..but we decided to go for the NCL Epic because it seemed more value for the price and also we heard it was geared to having a "posh" and "electric" nightlife.

Boy were we wrong! Seemed like most things were shutting down at 11pm, except of course the casino was open. We ended up gambling more on this ship then any other because there was nothing else going on at night! The layout of where the casino is is just awful! The smell of smoke is apparent everywhere you go!

Our first impressions of the ship were..wow what an ugly looking ship! lol! I mean it is not at all appealing to the eye with that giant "hat" in the front of the ship! Inside the ship was more appealing, better then Carnival's decor, which has to be the worst in the cruise industry! Embarkation was a breeze..nicely organized and on the ship within 30 minutes.
