I am 50 and was traveling with my 84 year-old father. I had never cruised before but my father and mother had cruised 4 or 5 times. Unfortunately she passed away 2 years ago so I agreed to accompany him on this cruise. It was a great decision and the Celebrity staff helped give us an experience to remember.

We booked two adjoining concierge staterooms in the aft of the ship (1206 & 1208) and that ended up being perfect. There are outer "family" doors on the adjoining staterooms that remained closed and were how we entered and exited the rooms. This way, we could leave our individual stateroom doors open and go from room to room or close them for individual privacy. In addition, the balcony divider was opened so we had a huge balcony that spanned both staterooms. FYI, 1206 has a larger than normal balcony to begin with since there is a service closet next to the room.

My father doesn't drink alcohol so he did not buy the beverage package but I like good wine so bought the premium package. I was not disappointed and know that I more than broke even on the cost. Every morning I had a yogurt and berry smoothie and during the day had multiple large bottles of Evian and many diet Cokes. At our dinner table, I asked for a Pouilly Fuisse that was on the menu but the sommelier told me they were out but asked if I would like another Pouilly Fuisse - and showed me a Louis Jadot which was over the $12/glass price on my package. This is a wonderful wine and he offered to serve it within the beverage package. Every night at dinner for the rest of the cruise, he offered me this upgraded wine at no charge - he was wonderful and I definitely made out on the deal!

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Cabin C1

1206 - large balcony, aft of the ship so LONG walk to/from elevators but quiet and with great views. If you like sun, the aft cabins are great because they are not shaded from the cabins above.
