Sail Date: Dec 2004

This is our 4th cruise. Carnival/Princess/RCI/Celebrity. My husband and I are in our late 40's and needed some rest and relaxation. Not old by no one's stretch of the imagination, but not wanting to be bothered with a lot of foolishness either.

Ship - Beautiful everywhere. I like this size ship better than I like the Voyager Class of RCI. Sailing CC is the best. The balcony room is the best! Love the amenities. Wonderful robes, Egyptian towels, tote bags, umbrellas, body pillows, champagne as we boarded and in our room. Fresh fruit every day. Top Notch all the way.

Food - Excellent. I am allergic to MSG and didn't have to worry at all about any food on the ship. The Olympic was well worth the extra $30/each. Only thing is when you have early seating as we did and you get hungry later in the night, not much variety. The best thing about the food was you didn't serve yourself in the buffet areas except to get your salad, bread and drink. I was on the Golden Princess 2 years ago and I saw a woman go and pick up a loaf of bread and bring it to the table and then put it back. The reason.....just because she could.
