Additional details

Sail Date: Jan 2011

Purpose: We (two of us) took this particular cruise primarily for the ports; (1) three of the ports had UNESCO World Heritage Sites (Santo Domingo, St. Kitts and Curaçao); and (2) the two-week venue out of Ft. Lauderdale made it possible to go to more ports than two one-week sailings could.

Cruise Credits: Between the two of us, we were eligible for both the shareholder's and military credits. Applying for both, we received only the shareholder's credit. Although Princess says up front that only one credit per cabin is allowed, some people on this board have reported getting both credits.

Transportation from the airport to the ship: We arrived in Florida a few days early and rented a car from Alamo. We then turned in the car at FLL and took the shuttle to the ship, which is provided by Alamo and National Rental for their clients only. The shuttle driver asked people what company they rented from, then turned away those who had rented cars from other companies.
