We just completed our 10-day cruise onboard the Emerald princess. This cruise was one of the best we have taken; it certainly has tied for the best yet! We were two couples celebrating two wedding anniversaries (35 and 40 years) and a birthday while onboard. We have to give credit to the Captain and all his staff and crew for a wonderful voyage. We only ate in the "any time" dining room once, primarily due to a change in dining schedule because of the numbers of guest wanting traditional dining. The ship adjusted the times for traditional dining, which change our plans slightly. We did eat seven of our evening meals in the specialty restaurants onboard.

The only negative comment we have is that the Crown Grill over cooked out meats. We thought that possibly misunderstanding the first meal resulted in overcooked meat. Give that facility a second chance several nights later we discovered the same problem, the staff offered to re-cook the meats, but we choose not to because of time constrains. We do not recommend the Crown Grill on this ship, unless you want your meat cooked medium well or more!

Sabatini's, what a marvelous experience, we ate five times in that restaurant. the staff was exceptional. Daniel, Marius, Ganna, and Krasmir all made us feel very special. They remembered our preferences after the first time, provided us with an entertaining and enjoyable time. We also spent time in Crooners Lounge, Adagio, and The Vines, in Coorners the staff Jojit, Ramil, and Richie demonstrated magnificent skills (magic, juggling and card tricks) while providing exceptional service. In the Adagio Lounge, Num was another exceptional server; there was also a very talented pianist who could play any song you asked. Our Cabin steward, Carlos, anticipated our needs, we didn't have to ask for anything!!! Overall, all of the crew we encountered were warm, friendly and seemed happy to be onboard. I could go on for days talking about this crew; it was a very enjoyable time for us.
