This was our 2nd time on Serenade of the Sea. We sailed her in 2005 with fond memories. We arrived at 11am and our luggage was taken in the right hand line asap ($5 tip). We then got in the left hand line and at 11:30 promptly, they were letting us on. Embarkation was a breeze and by 11:40am we were in the Windjammer eating wonderful food.

We proceeded to the dining staff to change our seating to a private table for two, early seating as I had requested. I thought this may prove difficult. With quiet efficiency and a smile we were given a table for two, #418 by a window with a beautiful view without any problem what so ever!

Next, our room was ready at 1pm and our luggage was there waiting for us. There was not one person on this ship that didn't greet you with a smile and a heartfelt salutation. Having worked for tips in our youth, both my husband and I are "extra tippers". Our Room Stewart Luis was given a little extra most mornings for his towel art.

Cabin K

Our room was next to a "crew only" stairwell but we never heard noise. It was quiet, comfortable and clean. It was smaller than we like as we have always had a balcony room in the past but value for dollar was excellent. The bed was very comfortable as I usually get backaches when I travel but not here!
