I will keep this short and sweet. Don't read too much into the past reviews. This was our first time cruise and was amazing to say the least. We did not have one issue with anything, rooms, food, staff, facility!!!! Yea, its not the Dubai of cruise ships, but it was a very elegant ship and priced just right. If you want a "Trump" ship, than get 3,000 + ready and go to the new "Allure of the Seas".

Everything went to plan, and the staff was there to help in any way! The food was excellent, and the wait staff was spectacular!!!! The room was adequate and was just that "a room to sleep in". If you have to gripe about a room, you are spending too much time in the room than being on a "beach!!!!". There is alot to do on the ship, and if you get bored, your not looking hard enough. We stayed mid ship on Empress level (7). Perfect level for people looking for value, and good location. Quiet, and hardly any rocking. There were kids on board, but I barley noticed them the whole week. And when we did, it was fun to watch them make a fool of themselves... To make it even better, we got engaged on the cruise also ;) Embark and Debark also went very smooth.

Overall, the Carnival Destiny was an excellent ship, with excellent staff, and an amazing time!!! I would return to this ship in a heartbeat!!!!
