This was our first cruise on Royal Caribbean. The cruise overall gets an A- as there were a few things that I was not happy about.
Embarkation -- This was probably the fastest that I have ever gone through the process of getting on a ship. We arrived at the Pier around 11:30-12:00 and we were on the ship within 15 minutes max. The employees kept the lines moving. Unfortunately we were not able to get into our rooms until after 1:00 so we decided to eat lunch at the Windjammer Cafe. The food was typical "cafeteria" food. After that we decided that we would be dining in the main dining room only!
Room -- We booked an outside cabin on the third floor. The rooms are noticeably smaller than rooms of the same class on Carnival. People had said that there is a great deal of storage space. I have to ask where the space is they are talking about. My wife had just enough space to store her clothes, I had to live out of my suitcase for the week. The room was very quiet, never heard any noise from outside, above or below. Our room steward Vincent was very good about keeping us stocked with ice, fresh towels and fresh bedding. It was nice to always come back to a clean room. We saw how some of the other passengers kept their rooms. People can be such pigs! I actually felt sorry for some of the room stewards.
