Went to the BoatYard. What a nice beach. White sand, clear waters. Paid $$12 each to get in. Received two chairs, umbrella and a drink plus a free shuttle back to the port. I do think you need to go early to ensure you are able to get an umbrella. We went around 11 am and that was a good time. 


Barbados

Having never visited Dominica before we opted to take a tour of the island. We requested not to be squeezed into a taxi so they accommodated the 13 of us and then provided a tour guide if we wanted one so the taxi driver could pay attention to the road. She worked for tips only. 
It was a nice 2 1/2 hour tour of the island with stops to let those who wished to climb up to see the waterfalls. There was a charge of $5.00 to do so by their parks department. 
Beautiful rain forest. We paid $20.00 each for the tour plus the tips. Nice day. 


Dominica

After researching on the Internet we decided to go to a resort for the day. I had found Timothy Beach resort and they provided use of their chairs and umbrellas at no charge to cruise passengers. The beach was a disappointment as it was extremely rocky and one had to climb down a small hill to get to the water. There was a drop off and many people had difficulty getting out of the water. One elderly man kept falling and his wife was unable to get him up. I am happy to report that some young girls walking on the beach ran to help him as did a man. Nice to know there are nice people out there. We were too far away to assist him. We opted not to go in the water and used their pool instead. I wouldn't recommend this beach even though the people were kind enough to allow us to use their facility at no charge. Only fee was $2.50 a person for taxi fare. 


St. Kitts (Port Zante)

I think next to Barbados , St Martin is one of my favorite places. We went to the beach near the port. $20.00 got us 2 chairs, umbrella and 5 drinks. Water was warm, sand was white. We got foot and ankle massages for $15.00 There were quite a few vendors and at sometimes got a little too much but we just had to keep saying no after we purchased what we wanted. 


St. Martin

Went to Great Cane Beach for the day. We were given chairs to use however you had to pay for umbrellas. It started to rain and we actually saw a couple with rain gear over their bathing suits now that was funny. Rain lasted 10 to 15 minutes then the skies turned blue and the rest of the day was great. No rocks and no drop offs into the water. Good beach day. 


Tortola

The weather was great, the ship beautiful and the service exceptional, one great vacation.We were in port all days but one so thought the $50.
