My husband and I sailed on the Destiny January 24 - 29 for a respite from family responsibilities and to get some sun. We booked late and were more interested in a get-away than a particular ship or itinerary.

This was the first time we sailed on Carnival. We have cruised on NCL, HAL, RCI, and Celebrity. The last two cruises were on Celebrity. Overall, we were very impressed with the whole experience.

We drove to the port and parked in off port parking for $10 day. The slowest part of the embarkation was the security check before heading up to the check in area on the 2nd floor. Once in the Carnival area, we were directed to the kiosks for check-in and then to the sail and sign card pickup area. We were in the Sun and Sea Restaurant by 1:00 p.m joining the hundreds of others looking for food.
