We were pleased with Millenium. Some small signs of age but nothing big. All the common areas look great and are well kept. We could always get on an elevator - even with people heading to the ports. Our embarkation in San Juan was 30 minutes which involved a long line up but it moved quickly. Enjoyed the welcome champagne and luggage arrived within the hour. We did not leave San Juan until close to midnight which was 4 hours late - the captain never really explained the cause for the delayed departure.

The food was better than RCCL particulary the buffet food stations that offered poached eggs at breakfast, american breakfast, waffle station etc. Also the pasta bar, stir fry bar, pizza, hard ice cream etc. for lunch or supper are good. Also the Select Dining worked much better than RCCL My Time Dining. One night with RCCL My Time we waited 20 minutes for a table even when we had a reservation. Reservations were never required with Millenium's Select Dining and we never waited more than 1 minute for a table for 2. My one complaint re: food is the coffee. It tastes awful - even in the dining room. I had to transfer to drinking hot tea in the mornings.

We were told we'd notice an improvement of service on Celebrity compared to RCCL but we didn't. No problems though so didn't need much service. It was nice having "pay-per view" option in the stateroom which is better than RCCL's poor TV step up with one exception - the view from the bridge which in transit is useless on Celebrity - you can't tell depth/temp of water, distance travelled etc. which is all nicely explained on RCCL stateroom TV.

Cabin C3

Shower is good as it is not a missile shower - just a plastic curtain and is larger than missile. Don't know why Celebrity must use "the don't steel the hangers" kind of hangers - makes it difficult in the closet. Wish Millennium had a bright night-lite like RCCL Jewel.
