In 2000 we went on the Dawn Princess to the Caribbean which is a sister ship to the Sea Princess and really liked the ship and the Sea Princess is great as well as it is a good size and not too big like some of the newer ships. Our cabin was on Cariba deck 9 and we only book inside ones as we don't spend much time in the cabin with such a lot to do on the ship. We thought it a reasonable size and there was plenty of places to store your clothes. It made more room in the cabin if you had two single beds as it gave space down the middle. We had a good flight from Manchester with Thomas Cook and were surprised to step off the plane straight onto a bus to the ship and our luggage had arrived by 6 pm although for some people it was a couple of hours later. We had no checking in to do at Barbabos airport and after putting our cases out the night before just had to pick them up at Manchester.
I have never been on a cruise before with so many British people onboard as there were about 1800 with only about 20 American and a few other nationalities but that was because Princess had chartered a few planes from England.
We didn't have to queue very long at embarkation and were soon in our cabin and then in the Horizon sampling the food.
