Last year my sister-in-law and I cruised on the Jewel. We had a wonderful time, and, with only one exceptions, gave it top ratings. That one exception was how we were treated by the "Book your next cruise" representative. To NCL's credit, when I wrote them about the shabby treatment we received, they gave us a $100 credit toward our next cruise.

We chose to go on the Pearl January 9-16, 2011. We picked the same cabin so we would already know our way around and not have to spend any time getting familiar with the ship's lay out.

Embarkation - easy as pie. We had lunch in the Cafe (always good food and a decent selection). We were in our cabin by 2 PM.

9010 - Adequate space, protected balcony, quiet location, good hike from dining so you can walk off your meals. Easy to get to entertainment areas.
