My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary aboard the Celebrity Summit on 7 Nights Southern Caribbean Cruise and 3 nights in San Juan. I booked a pre night stay at Holiday Inn Express in Condado/Ashford area using my priority club points. We enjoy our walk at Ashford then stopped at one of the Puerto Rican restaurant for dinner. Very friendly staff.

Embarkation: The next day (11am) we headed to the port for embarkation, we were checking in online so we only need to get our sea pass. We booked the Sky Suite (8117) which we were refunded for $520 when the price went down. I was informed that we are invited to the Normandie for a complimentary dinner on the first night (my husband was glad it is only a business casual attire). That makes 2 nights at Normandie. The checking process was very efficient no wait at all. I think we only showed our passport once, we get our room key, the rest of the cruise we only need to show our sea pass, getting off and on the ship. Once on board, we were greeted with glass of champagne and were told about the buffet lunch at Waterfall Cafe. There were many selections; I like the rice paella and variety fresh bread, rolland fruits. We did our exploring until we heard the announcement that the rooms are ready.

Ports: St. Croix-went to Buck Island Snorkeling (note: the boat will take you out to the reef, no beach: St. Kitts, just explored around town, we should booked a beach excursion; Roseau, Dominica - enjoyed the Trafalgar/Rain Forest excursion; St George's Grenada, we enjoyed walking around town and the waterfront, very scenic. Note: climb to the port is strenuous. Scarbourgh, Tobago, not much to see in town, maybe an excursion. Do not wait to buy your souvenirs here.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin S1

Sky Suite: The suite 8117 is spacious and has plenty of closet storage for our clothes (have two bathrobes and two umbrellas). It is the second suite on the left from the mid elevator toward the front of the ship. I like the location; we got the nice view of all the islands ports. The bathroom has a bathtub w/shower, plenty of towels and toiletries. The carpet need replacement but they are clean and the bed is firmer than what I used too but I actually sleep through the night. I think you can ask for a bed topper if want it. The bathroom has plenty of room for me but I am petite. I think the shower is a little shorter for my 6'0 husband. The balcony has room for two people to sit, relax or watch the island view. The only time I heard noice is when I am near the door or in the bathroom. We were able to have good night sleeps. The only thing I noticed that in the morning, the staff has the cart for laundry in fron of our cabin but that does not bother us at all.
