From the moment we set foot on the Norwegian Dawn, we were met with incredible friendliness. Before we even set sail, our cabin stewards had introduced themselves (charming, efficient and VERY hard-working people) and asked our preference for the room set up. The rooms were extremely clean, and though small, very comfortable and sufficient. We loved the personal touch of the "towel animals" each night at the foot of the bed accompanied by a chocolate mint!

The restaurants on the Dawn were absolutely breathtaking and we really enjoyed the freestyle concept of dining. Food was fabulous with plenty of choices. In fact, the meals in the main dining rooms and specialty restaurants with no cover charge were so good that we didn't even try the other restaurants with additional fees, although we heard that they too were excellent. Service was unhurried which allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our conversation around the table (we sailed with another couple), and we never had problems eating at the times we desired, only waiting in line once for more than five minutes. The servers were EXCEPTIONAL, all of them very friendly. We would often request the table of a particular waiter or waitress because we enjoyed them so much.

Entertainment was of top-quality. We met a few of the dancers from the Jean Ann Ryan Co. on deck before we sailed, which made going to their shows that much more fun (felt like they were friends!), and we ran into them around the ship from time to time as well. The comedy of Dave Heenan was a bit off-color for my taste and we ended up not going to his second show, but there was such a variety of entertainment that we certainly were not bored! Our cruise directors alone were great entertainment!! We also thoroughly enjoyed the live bands (poolside, in the Atrium, and especially Pamala Stanley in the Champagne Bar).
