We just returned from a 6-night tour that included Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. I think the destinations are what you make them. While Jamaica was not a great stop, we booked a private tour of a private waterfall and river raft trip with Barrett Adventure Tours. I highly recommend this tour group. Carolyn the owner promised an experience off the tourist track and she was right. The falls were absolutely gorgeous and with no other tourists in sight, were a much better option to the popular, and often crowded Dunn's Falls. In fact our driver, Cory, went out of his way to ensure that we got to the raft portion of the trip after a large group had left.

We only used the cruise excursion service for one trip, Tulum — opting to do so because the trip takes so long that we were concerned about doing it on our own in the very short time our ship was docked in Cozumel.

For Grand Cayman, we booked with a fairly new group, Carib Select Watersports, for the Stingray City and Snorkel tour. They are a delightful company with only minor issues. For one, when we got to the dock to search out our tour, our guide Ementina, was difficult to spot. Her sign was very small and only after asking a lot of other tour operators, were we able to connect up with her. We were probably not the only ones since it took forever to get our group together to go on the tour. Also we felt very pressured into buying a $20 photo she took of us holding a stingray. Minor stuff. The benefits were many. We were on a smaller boat with only about 28 other people so we got lots of attention. Never felt rushed. Ementina is also a very enthusiastic and caring guide. We had a blast.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 1

Cabin A1

Needs more storage. Great centrally located cabin. Quiet. Good-sized balcony. Very comfortable bed. To-die for shower. Luxurious bathroom. So, so bath amenities that were supposedly spa quality but really weren't anything out of the ordinary. Comfy robes included.
