My kids and I went on the Pride with a group of about 45 friends. Who have gone on several cruises before this one. We got thru the embarkation process fine it was basically fast. We finally got on the ship but couldn't get into the room for about an hour or so. We found a table and ate. It was cold but that is nothing that Carnival can help. They could have fixed the glass roof on the pool deck so we could have gone swimming. This was our first cruise so we really didn't know what to expect. We got in the room and it really wasn't as small as I had thought it would be. There was room enough for our clothes. I did purchase a clothes hanger that looks like shelves which held my daughters clothes perfectly. The bathroom was small but it worked although we couldn't get hot water in the sink and the toilet clogged up 2 times. The beds were super comfortable. I may actually buy the pillows and comforter.

I was told not to miss the Camp Carnival meeting so I missed dinner instead. Went to the meeting and signed up my daughter for camp. They give you a cell phone for the little kids in case there is a problem. My daughter was in the 2-5 yr old group. so the next day I took her there to make a beach bag or so it said on the daily list of things to do at camp it wound up being a tshirt that she colored. I dropped her off and 45 minutes later the phone was ringing and I was going to pick her up. She was hysterical! All the girl told me was that she was crying. Well these people who run the camp should have some kind of education on how to deal with children. They didn't seem very knowledgeable about trying to calm kids down or teaching them. The Mom ahead of me was told her son didn't share, he was 2, they don't share at that age. I wasn't too impressed with the camp and my daughter refused to go back. After 2 or 3 days I finally got her to tell me why she wouldn't go back. One of the boys at camp hit my daughter he was yelled at she told me but I was never told that it had happened. So for the rest of the cruise she stayed with me which wasn't what I had expected. She is very outgoing and goes to school so it's not that she is shy.

Onto the food...I have heard for yrs from people that I know that there is food all the time all over cruise ships! Well not on here. There is 24hr pizza and ice cream. The dining room food wasn't as good as the buffet food at the Mermaid dining room. The selection didn't change much in the dining room. The server we had was horrible, table 370. We would all get there with in a few minutes of one another and the other tables would be on dessert and we didn't get our entree yet. I told the waiter every night that we ate there not to bring my daughters food until he had mine and low and behold it was there before mine even tried to order her fruit salad to slow him down. Our table didn't get the appetizers together and one time he even forgot an entree! The cocktail guy wasn't much better. I know they want to sell you alcohol but not all of us drink it all the time which makes them mad. Try to get a soda is like pulling teeth. I had a soda card and you might have thought the money was coming out of their pocket. Every where I asked for a soda I got an attitude. I totally agree with another person on here that wrote a review what does the Martri d do for you that he should get a tip? Didn't get one from any of us. The pictures are wonderful! That was one of my favs from the trip I'm a picture nut. I do think that there should be packages available. One pic for 21.99 is a but expensive but I got alot of them would have gotten more if they were cheaper.

Cabin Review

Cabin 5A

We were in 1124. It was ok a but noisy from the engine I guess. Didn't hear any noise from the hallway. The window was great. Bathroom was a bit small but really how long are you in there. Not much water pressure in the sink with hot water. Need more electircal outlets. We brought a power strip and it's a good thing we did there's only one outlet in the whole cabin. We did hear the people above us they were extremely loud sounded like they were moving furniture although theres nothing to move. The decor of the ship has a lot to be desired!! There are naked statues and pictures all over the place. The decor wouldn't deter me from going on a ship just letting you know what to expect.
