We purposely booked this cruise so that we could be back home by Christmas, but after being on board of this ship, I wished we would have taken a 7 day cruise instead!

We flew into Ft. Lauderdale and visited relatives the day before. We stayed at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites which was inexpensive and very clean. Our relatives delivered us to the ship around 1:00pm. Check-in was a breeze and we were on the ship in no time. We did not hit the buffet due to the fact that we had a late brunch.

We went to the Solarium and enjoyed watching all of the ships at dock. It started to rain and we were dry lounging in the Solarium. We then went to our room and checked everything out, unpacked and got the maps out to start exploring the ship. It is very easy to navigate through the ship with the interactive maps that are located throughout the ship. The first afternoon was the only time that the ship felt crowded.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Great view, loved the balcony with the clear wall all the way to the floor. The only drawback was the proximity of the closet to the bed. We are smaller sized people and didn't have a problem, although only one of us could use the closet at a time. If you are a larger sized person it would be challenging to get to the closet. The bathroom at first looked very small, but it was surprisingly roomy after we started using it. The shower stall with it's rounded doors was very spacious. The sink was very small and took some time to get used to. I was pleasantly surprised at how hot the water in the shower and sink got. I love really hot showers and the Oasis delivered on this!
