Sail Date: Dec 2010

It was very cold when we (6) arrived in Port Canaveral. Little did we know that the cold would extend to the Bahamas during the trip. It was too cold to go out on deck, especially if the ship was moving. Even the protected areas of the ship were cold. It was an unusual weather condition. Hot tubs were packed, but use a parka to get there.

The ship itself was nice. A little dated. Everything was purple, and the Lido seats were plastic. The main dining room was excellent. The lido was too crowded, with long lines. This was possibly due to the cold that made it inconvenient to eat outside and get food from the poolside. The Pizza and Deli sandwich area was excellent. Ice cream was not very crowded at all!!

Bar areas were fun, with lots of different entertainment options. Although, the smoke smell was sometimes strong. The Piano bar was great. Everyone that walked in was introduced and asked to buy a round for all others. The night time shows were excellent, especially the adult comedy club.

Cabin Review

Cabin 5A

Small, but good use of space. Lots of storage space, including drawers, shelves, hanging and a safe. Connecting doors to next-door cabin could not be held open on either side- inconvenient. Close to front elevator bank. As it was on the bottom deck, it was always easy to get 6 into the elevator, especially on the last day, exiting with our own luggage. The sink would not drain, and it took two days to get it fixed, but worked fine when we left. There is no heat, only AC. Needed to turn off AC, and turn on all lights and TV to warm up room a but...but it was very cold outside.
