I was not sure about cruising when we booked our first cruise to Alaska on the NCL Pearl for August 1st, 2010. However, I soon became addicted to cruising and am planning for more cruises in the future!

ARRIVAL

We arrived in Seattle on Friday evening so we would be able to enjoy Seattle for a day before leaving. We got to our hotel for only a few bucks taking the train from the airport to downtown. It was a little walk from the security checkpoint to the train but it was clearly marked and we felt very safe walking to it through the airport even though it was at night. When we got off the train our hotel, the Seattle Sheraton was only about 2 blocks away. We got the Sheraton for a steal at $100 a night on Priceline name your own price. I highly recommend the Sheraton. It is very clean and comfortable and within walking distance to Pike's Place Market and public transportation to the needle, etc...

Large closet, plenty of room for suitcases. Very quiet location with no disturbances. Cramped but clean bathroom.
