Sailed on the Millennium 11 day cruise beginning 12/13 in San Juan. This was our 5th cruise and our first time on Celebrity. We have previously cruised with Royal Caribbean (3x) and Holland America (1x). We're in our early 40's.

We boarded the Millennium around noontime. The check-in line wasn't too long, though there was some confusion as there were several lines with no signage and direction was a little unclear as to who they wanted in each line. We carry our own bags on and so we headed for the door and got through with very little wait time. Once our luggage was scanned we were provided forms to complete and then headed to the next line to get checked in which was pretty fast. One more quick security stop, a photo, and another to go with our sea pass card and we were on the boat. Yay.

Rooms were not ready when we got on the boat so we made our way to the buffet to sit and enjoy the view. Around 1pm there was an announcement saying that the rooms were ready. We were still finishing our tea and cookies so we waited a while before setting off to find our room. At 1:30 we were at the forward elevator 8th floor but the doors to the hallways were still closed. Several other people were there waiting as well. Just as I hopped down a floor or two to get some help from a crew member, someone appeared to open the doors.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2B

Cabin 2B

Really liked our room. We've had bigger rooms but we liked the simplicity of this room and it felt very clean. Carpet looked new. The balcony and balcony furniture felt very clean. We noticed nothing broken or missing. Bathroom nicely functional with good storage. Good storage in the closets, bedside furniture, and desk too. We can't say enough good things about the housekeeping service. We had the best stateroom attendants ever. Two very minor room irritations - the hangers are "security" style which is annoying if you like to wash stuff in the sink to hang dry - c'mon Celebrity, 5.5 stars should attract clientele that you can trust with real hangers. Also, this cabin has a door that goes to the next cabin and we found that if we, or the cabin next door, opened the balcony door, we would hear an extremely loud whistling noise. We figured out that putting a towel on the floor at the bottom of the door stopped the noise entirely.
