Sail Date: Nov 2010

Chaos reigned at the embarkation point ( which we expected ) we did not wait for too long to board as we had joined Costa club beforehand and got through a bit quicker than some other poor souls who had to wait upwards of 3 hours ! Got into our cabin and it was lovely..clean cool and spacious with a balcony and the bathroom was fine too..shower curtain but it did not stick to us and the shower was very powerful.

Set off into gale force winds that night ( sailed very late due to a technical fault ) The Pacifica is not built to ride steady on any kind of rough sea and we had a terrible night sailing to Savona through 158km winds ! Was afraid the ship would tip over at some points. She sails fine with winds of up to about 40km hour and smooth sea at 20 knots but anything over that and she struggles ! just be warned if you like smooth sailing this is not the right ship..she dudders and shudders an awful lot.

Ship itself is pretty and immaculately clean.

Cabin Review

opposite stewards room...near elevators at the back of the ship...close to Main dining room..quiet location.
